Welcome to 71st HS Band!

We are a nationally competing band that typically travels within the concert and marching band programs. Our jazz/stage bands are student led which gives greater opportunity of creativity and musicianship. Our program is in the process of expanding into music technology which would cover curriculum-based learning for understanding virtual music studio functions, mixing, film scoring, etc.

The concert band begins as marching season ends. Students will be required to learn/know their scales and be expected to audition/participate in All-County Honors Band and Music Festivals.

Concerts will be held throughout the year to let the parents enjoy the progress and work of our students.
