Mission Statement

The James River Peer Tutoring program, a branch of the Peer Assistance League (PAL), is designed to help students who are struggling academically. The program provides students with peer tutors who are knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects and can offer assistance with homework, study skills, and test preparation. This program is a great way for students to get the help they need to succeed in their classes.

The Writing Center is an addition to the James River Peer Tutoring program that is designed to assist students in improving their writing skills. The primary objective of the center is to support students in writing college essays and other academic papers by providing one-on-one consultations, workshops, and writing resources.

I am the president of the James River High School peer tutoring program where I have tutored numerous students in various subjects in math, science, English, and social studies. Peer tutoring is one of my favorite activities since I love helping students learn more effectively. I believe that having a peer for guidance can help a student become more comfortable and grasp the information at a faster rate. Other extracurriculars that I enjoy are Crew and SCA. I row for the JRHS Crew team and am the social media manager for the SCA at James River. I cannot wait to help you guys this year! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
