What part of the instructional delivery model for Social Studies do you need ideas for?
Cumulative Review- Cumulative reviews help students identify misconceptions while allowing them the opportunity to add to their previous learning. Checking for understanding by revisiting prior content, students can make meaningful and unexpected connections to new content by receiving this immediate feedback.
Instructional Delivery:
Direct Instruction- This time is planned to address the current grade level standards found on the CCPS Curriculum Framework and pacing guide. This time is teacher-directed and should engage students in the process of learning.
Indirect Instruction-This time is planned to support problem-solving, guided inquiry, concept formation and attainment.
Closure Activity- The closure activity creates a lasting impression for students. It should include an opportunity for teachers to check for understanding and inform subsequent instruction, emphasize key information, and correct misunderstandings.
