About The Teacher

Hi! I'm Ms. Felix.

I am so excited to get to know you this year! My hope for this school year is that we will learn from one another and form strong bonds as a classroom family.

My Background:

I was born and raised right here in Chesterfield County. My family still lives in the area, although I now live in the city of Richmond.

I received two degrees from the College of William & Mary: a Bachelors in Art History and a Masters in Elementary Education.

My Teaching Experience:

This will be my ninth year teaching! I started my career in Newport News Public Schools, where I taught second grade for two years before moving back to Richmond. I spent the past six years at Crenshaw Elementary. I have taught every elementary grade (except Kindergarten), but my favorite is FOURTH!

I love my job because it allows me to keep learning, every day is a new challenge, and I love being able to make a difference in kids' lives!

My Hobbies:

Outside of work, I love to explore everything that the city of Richmond has to offer! I am a member of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, which I visit often. I also enjoy biking, cooking, and reading. I love to travel and see different parts of the world-- one of my favorite recent trips was to Portugal in 2018!
