Construction Paper Sunprints:

• Materials: construction paper , LEGOs, or other small items, Sunny day
  • Lay small items out on your construction paper to create a scene
  • Let the paper with the scene out in the sun for 3-7 hours and watch as the sun bleaches your scene onto the paper.

Salt Painting:

• Materials: White paper, Elmer’s Glue, Table Salt, food coloring, water
  • “Draw” a picture on your white paper with your elmers glue.
  • Cover your drawing in table salt and let dry
  • Mix food coloring with water (for coloring=darker color), and use an eyedropper to drop the color on the salt mixture to color the picture.
  • Enjoy your new painting

Build a Bridge:

• Materials: pack of index cards, 1 foot of tape, decorative items
  • Using your pack of index cards, build a strong bridge and see how much your bridge can hold.

Build a table:

• Materials: computer paper, construction paper, paper plate, 1 foot of tape
  • Using 20 pieces of computer/construction paper and a paper plate create a table and see how many books it can hold

3 Little Pigs Steam:

• Materials: recyclables
  • Using recyclables, create a house that can withstand the blow of the Big Bad Wolf. After building your house, see if it will stay standing after being blown with a hair dryer.
