Bienvenue au Congrès 2026!
Congrès has provided a unique opportunity for students from across central Virginia to come together and connect over their love of the French language. Through their competitions and workshops, students get to apply their classroom knowledge to authentic communication and gain a deeper cultural and liguistic knowledge base.
This event is open to all central Virginia French teachers and their students. We have done our best to create a website that will both welcome and inform newcomers to this decades long tradition. If you have any questions about the event, please don't hesitate to contact any of the organizers.
Unsure where to start? The tabs above contain all the information you need! Start by checking out "What is Congrès" to get started.
We are so excited to have you join us for this incredible event!
All art lovers are welcome to submit designs for our logo and shirt contest to the Google Form below. Submissions are due no later than Friday, December 5th at midnight. Three total designs will be chosen and used - one for the shirt front (pocket sized), one for the shirt back and one for the program covers.
*****
All designs must follow the following criteria to be considered
Designs must be school appropriate and reflect the theme of Congrès this year - Vers l'avenir (Towards the future)
Designs must include the following elements
The Congrès tagline - "Vers l’avenir: Le français sans frontières"

New this year - designs will be shared with all participating schools to vote on their prefered designs for the shirts and programs! Voting will close on December 12th and winning designs will be announced before winter break.
