Teachers earn badges by using various tech tools with their students. Each badge they earn is an entry into a monthly raffle.

Star-Based Evidence

Each star earned gives you an entry into the school-wide raffle. For example the Badge+Two Stars earns you two entries into the raffle.

Badge + One Star: A summary of the standard based project and a sample of student work.

Badge + Two Stars: A summary of the standard based project, a sample of student work, and a tweet about the student project with an image of students working.

Badge + Three Stars: A summary of the standard based project, a sample of student work and Integrator visiting your classroom to observe the students working on project or help with instructions.

A Tale of Two Schools

Results were mixed. One school required teachers to meet with their Integrator for 90 minutes per semester. The badges have been a great success at this school because it provides an extra, fun incentive. At the other school, there was no requirement to meet with their Integrator and there was less interest, even though a monthly raffle was offered at both schools.
