Let's examine the most popular pizza toppings from one source. There are others that are similar.
Take five minutes and, with the people near you, argue about whether pineapple on pizza is good.
I need a volunteer to argue with me, in the same way you argued with your classmate.
We will discuss the argument between me and the student. How did either side attempt to make connections? How did either side enhance their credibility?
Examine the "Pillar Handout" on Creating Claims and Supporting a Claim.
Make sure you focus on knowing both sides (or all sides if there are more sides) of your argument.
