Step 1: Enroll Your Child

Step One is to enroll your child in lessons

---Here are some answers to commonly asked questions---

Band and Orchestra lessons occur during the school day. The teachers are full-time CCPS employees, so there is no charge for instruction.

Your child will be pulled out of regular classes once a week for their thirty-minute lesson.

The lesson schedule rotates to ensure students are not always being pulled from the same class.

The teacher will communicate lessons schedules, concert dates, and other vital information via email.

When enrolling, be sure to provide an email address which you check regularly.  Feel free to provide multiple email addresses.  

Students are responsible for bringing  their instrument and materials to school on lesson days. 

Students are responsible for taking their instrument and materials home at the end of the day.

School buses do allow instruments on board.

Students will be expected to practice at home.

Students will receive a grade for band or orchestra. The grades follow the "EE", ME", "AE", or "HD" grading format.

Once you have completed "Step 1: The Enrollment Form", your school's band and/or orchestra teacher will email you regarding "Step 2: Fittings." 

PLEASE WAIT UNTIL AFTER YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN FITTED TO RENT OR PURCHASE AN INSTRUMENT

THERE ARE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE INSTRUMENTS TO FAMILIES IN FINANCIAL NEED. Email your child's teacher for more information.
