Class overview
The CCST Commercial Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Repair Program (CVHER) offers entry-level technical training in accordance with the ASE (The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) Inspection, Maintenance, and Minor Repair (IMMR) standards. ASE IMMR standards set forth student diesel tech career training goals in the areas of; Shop Safety and Tool Use, Vehicle Electrical/Electronic Systems, Air & Hydraulic Brakes, Suspension & Steering, Diesel Engines, Class 5-8 Truck, Agricultural, and Heavy Equipment Maintenance & Minor Repair.
Students will also develop the necessary workplace skills for professional career success, and have an opportunity to participate in ASE entry-level certification testing.

Course Sampling
The overall goal of the CCST Commercial Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Repair Program is to provide students with basic technical skills and occupational competencies for successful entry into the medium and heavy duty vehicle repair field. The program additionally aims at meeting industry needs for a skilled workforce.
