English Study Tour to Auckland, New Zealand (2024-2025)
The 2024-2025 New Zealand Study Tour, organized by the English Department, was a remarkable success. Students explored Auckland, visiting iconic sites such as Mt. Eden, Cornwall Park, North Head, Piha Beach, the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the Auckland Museum. They participated in homestays and an immersion program at Massey High School (MHS), where they paired with local buddies to foster cultural exchange.
During the closing ceremony, our students showcased their talents through rope skipping and singing performances, along with a brief presentation about our school. This enriching experience not only broadened their horizons but also created lasting friendships between teenagers from both locations.
English Week (2024-2025)
English Week’s triumphant return occurred on May 12th to the 16th, 2025. English Week promotes a fun and positive English environment that encourages students to speak the world’s lingua-franca. The event kicked off on Monday with the Book Review Session where teachers shared their favorite book with students. Then on Tuesday in an inter-house match, students competed in the school’s 5th Spelling Bee Competition as they showcased their excellent spelling skills. On Wednesday students went head to head in a fun game of Pictionary. Then on Thursday they demonstrated their creativity and style with the Fashion Show, where Form Two students designed their own clothing and walked down the runway while lighting the stage on fire! Finally, ending the week on Friday, the ultimate talent show CCPASS' Got Talent gave students a chance to shine by showing off their musical and dancing skills. It was an amazing week that all CCPASS students enjoyed.
Joint-School Oral Practice (2024-2025)
Our students were joined by students from 5 other schools - Kowloon Tong School [Secondary Section], HKMA Li Kwok Po College, New Asia Middle School, Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School and Ma On Shan Tsung Tsin Secondary School in a mock DSE oral practice on 10th January 2025. The feedback of teachers and students from different schools allowed around 180 participants to be aware of their own strengths and weaknesses in regard to tackling the speaking paper so it was a remarkable experience for all who were involved.
The 18th AFS InterCultural Fair
The 18th AFS Intercultural Fair offered our S4 students a vibrant opportunity to discover diverse cultures. They engaged with foreign exchange students from Colombia, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and France, who led interactive activities including dance, singing and games. This event not only enriched students' understanding of different traditions and languages but also fostered meaningful connections with peers from around the world.
