What do you need to do?
Transactional writing forms part of your Non-Fiction and Transactional Writing paper.
You are advised to spend 45 minutes on this part of the exam.
You will have a choice of two questions, only one of which you should answer.
You are tested on the same assessment objectives as in your imaginative writing, namely:
AO4 - communicate effectively and imaginatively, adapting form, tone and register of writing for specific purposes and audiences
AO5 - write clearly, using a range of vocabulary and sentence structures, with appropriate paragraphing and accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.
It's really important that you think about the audience, form and purpose of your writing for this part of the exam.
