What is P-TECH?
Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH) give students a unique chance to earn a high school diploma along with an associate degree and industry certification—all for FREE!

We offer twi P-TECH pathways through Collin College:

• Construction/Carpentry – Learn hands-on skills to build and design structures.

• EKG Technician – Prepare for a career in healthcare by learning how to perform heart monitoring tests.

• You’ll take both high school and college courses starting in 9th grade.

How Does It Work?

• P-TECH programs are free and open to all students but focus on supporting those who may face challenges in accessing college.

• Students can earn a high school diploma plus an associate degree, Level 1 or Level 2 certificate, or industry-based certification in four years or less.

• Every year, you’ll gain hands-on work experience in your field of interest.

• P-TECH schools work closely with Texas colleges and industries to make sure students are prepared for the workforce.
