A Research Project - Rev. Dr. N. Alexander Ruth, Disciples of Christ pastor
We are studying how Disciples of Christ congregations define, practice, and live out discipleship.
And we need YOUR voice!!
Many congregations in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are deeply committed to justice, inclusion, and community; yet they struggle to articulate how those commitments connect to discipleship, or to offer clear pathways for members to live them out.
This project is designed to change that. By gathering evidence from congregations across North America, we hope to identify what effective, justice-oriented discipleship looks like in practice and to build practical resources that any congregation can use.
A denomination-wide survey of Disciples congregations to map discipleship in practice.
Deep conversations with selected congregations through focus groups and interviews.
Practical field guides, workshops, and resources for congregations to use.
This survey is open to any congregation affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States or Canada. We welcome responses from congregations of all sizes, from small rural fellowships to large urban churches.
The survey is best completed by a pastor, minister, director of Christian education, or senior lay leader who is familiar with your congregation's discipleship programs and practices.
The survey takes approximately 8 minutes and all responses are confidential
