In The Loop
Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Dear families,
It has been a week of transitions at CCF with Year 11’s last assembly on Wednesday morning and Year 13’s farewell event on Thursday afternoon. Year 11 and Year 13 pupils now move to their masterclass and exam timetables and the events this week were an important chance to reflect on and celebrate all they have achieved so far. I am grateful to Mr Depala, Head of Year 11, and Mr Scott, Head of Sixth Form, for organising the events. I am conscious that examinations can be a challenging time for pupils and families, and staff are here to support during this time. Please encourage your child to speak to a member of staff if they require support and please email info@ccfplus.com should you require any further help.
Last weekend saw Year 7’s highly-anticipated trip to PGL and I know from speaking to Year 7 pupils this week how much they enjoyed it. I am grateful to Ms Ireland, Head of Year 7/Transition, who organised the trip and to the staff who attended and ensured it was such a successful trip. There have been a range of trips over the course of this week including a Sixth Form trip to the University of Hertfordshire, a Geography trip to the Natural History museum and a BFI French study day. On Wednesday we also held a Sixth Form culture day and it was lovely to see sixth form pupils wearing cultural dress on the day.
I wrote to families earlier this week to share the consultation to expand the school’s capacity (please click here to see the consultation paperwork) and a reminder that the consultation closes on Friday 29 May 2026. Thank you to those parents/carers who have already responded.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend.
Kind regards,
Dr Ruth Hill
Headteacher
