Year 10 - Globe Theatre Trip
By

I truly enjoyed the Globe trip!
Firstly, the play, ‘Macbeth’, was very entertaining and I liked how they added a modern twist
to it, such as using phones to read letters. I also really liked the actors, especially the Witches
and their acrobatics; they were constantly doing flips and carrying each other on their shoulders, which I thought was creative.
Some of my favourite parts of the play were the fight scenes and how realistic but elegant the
performances were. I thoroughly enjoyed the music used in such a dramatic way so that
overall, it elevated the performance.
The whole year group was thrilled to be taken on the trip. We travelled by coach as well,
which really helped with the smoothness of the experience.
I would recommend watching it when studying the text, as it gives you a better picture of the
whole play.
Year 11 - Theatre Trip
The Year 11 GCSE Drama class this week attended a performance of Agatha Christie's play Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall, as part of their preparation for the GCSE exam. The pupils enjoyed the dramatic conclusion to the play and were stunned by the double plot twist! All of the pupils said they would highly recommend the performance and came away with plenty to write about in their upcoming Drama exam in May. Special thanks to Mrs Highton and Ms Hilborn for organising the trip.
