Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
Last day of term is Friday 4th April - 12:30pm Finish
Dear families,
It has been another busy week at CCF; Year 12 pupils have been undertaking assessments and Year 11 pupils have begun their meetings with senior leaders to discuss their sixth form offers and post-16 options. There have also been a number of trips this week including the Year 9 trip to Sky Studios on Wednesday and the Year 12 trip for students looking to apply to Oxbridge which also took place on Wednesday. Year 10 Computer Science pupils have today been to Bletchley Park to see the home of the World War II codebreakers. I would like to thank the staff who ensure that these trips, which are so important for our pupils, take place successfully and thank pupils for their excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning during these visits.
I would also like to thank families of Year 8 pupils who attended Year 8 parents’ evening on Wednesday and Mr Buckle, Senior Leader, and Mr Baron, Head of Year 8, for ensuring the evening ran smoothly.
Next week sees the finals of the Great British Menu air on BBC2 and we look forward to cheering on Chef Amber as she cooks her menu to try to win a place at the prestigious banquet. It has been lovely to see pupils take the time to speak to Chef Amber about her involvement and wish her luck. I know the whole CCF community is incredibly proud of her success and will be wishing her luck next week.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a lovely weekend and, to those of you who celebrated, I wish you a Nowruz Mubarak.
Kind regards,
Dr Ruth Hill
