Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
Have a wonderful summer
Dear families,
As we reach the end of the academic year, I would like to start by thanking parents and carers for all of your support over the past year. The past few weeks have seen pupils continue to show excellent attitudes to learning, right up until our final day today, and during the many activities that have taken place. As I reach the end of my first year as Headteacher, I remain immensely proud to lead such an incredible school.
We are saying goodbye to a number of staff today including Mr Brum, IT technician, who is leaving to start his degree in Medicine in September, and Ms Rodgers, Teacher of Physics, who is starting at a new school in September. We are also saying goodbye to Ms Kiskina, Teacher of Maths, who is retiring after 18 years at CCF, and Mr Bratt, Head of Government and Politics/Deputy Head of Sixth Form, who is retiring after 35 years at CCF. It is a testament to the school community that staff choose to remain at Christ’s College for such significant lengths of time and we wish them all the best for their future.
With the summer holidays beginning, I look forward to celebrating the success of our Year 13 students on A-level results day on Thursday 14th August and of our Year 11 pupils on GCSE results day on Thursday 21st August.
I would also like to share with families the plans for the start of September which are as follows:
Finally, I would again like to thank the parent community for your support which means so much to me and all of the staff. I wish you all a lovely summer and look forward to welcoming pupils back in September.
Dr Ruth Hill
