Reflection Room
Christ's College Finchley has introduced a Reflection Room, which is a peaceful and inclusive space designed to provide students with a quiet sanctuary for personal reflection, mindfulness, and spiritual practice.
This will be located in the drama loft studio and will be available to pupils during both lunch breaks.
Attendance
CCF is committed to raising levels of attendance for individual students and the school as a whole. Our belief is that good attendance and punctuality are vital if our students are to take advantage of the many educational opportunities available to them. Our target is that all pupils achieve above a minimum attendance of 96.5% for the year.
Parents must notify the school of the reason of an unplanned absence by 8:30am or as soon as practically possible, by emailing the attendance team via attendance@ccfplus.com. We will mark absence due to physical or mental illness as authorised, unless the school has a genuine concern about the authenticity of the illness.
Where a pupil’s attendance is a cause for concern at 90% and below, or absence is longer than four days, or there are doubts about the authenticity of the illness, the school will ask for medical evidence, such as a doctor’s note, prescription, appointment card or other appropriate form of evidence.
Attending a medical or dental appointment will be counted as authorised as long as parents notify the school in advance of the appointment. Parents must inform the school 24 hours in advance for any medical appointments and provide proof of the appointment to attendance@ccfplus.com. However, we encourage parents to make medical and dental appointments out of school hours where possible. Where this is not possible, the pupil should be out of school for the minimum amount of time necessary. A whole day's absence for medical appointments will not be authorised.
