My name is Kendra Heinen, and I’m grateful to serve as a 3rd grade math, social studies, and religion teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic School. After 13 years teaching in public schools, I left in 2018 to stay home with my two girls, believing my teaching days were over. Burned out and disappointed, I never imagined returning. But over five years, the Holy Spirit led me back—through coaching, volunteering, and long-term substitute positions—until I said yes to teaching full time again.
