Hello! My name is Emily Turnquist, and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Corpus Christi Catholic School. I will be teaching your child Math, Science, and Social Studies this year! I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been my dream, and I feel blessed to work with young learners as they grow academically, socially, and in their faith.

I recently got engaged this past summer to my fiance, Andrew. He works as a financial advisor in Leavenworth, Kansas. I have my childhood dog, Ella, at home and she just recently turned 10 years old. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to build a classroom community that is welcoming, joyful, and full of curiosity for learning.
