Like all extra curricular activates, there are annual costs and fees. It is a goal of the program to make these expenses as bearable as possible, so that no student is denied access to a quality music education. The expenses are located here.

The book that we use in class, Essential Elements For Band - Book One, costs $10.00 and will be yours to keep. You can buy it from our Gadsden Music Co. representative on sale day or purchase it yourself through Amazon. You will only need to make this purchase once.
Your child will need the book specific for their instrument, so please wait to purchase one after instruments have been assigned.

Why should I purchase my own instrument?
Ideally, every student would be able to purchase their own instrument. This is not possible for many. That is why rentals are offered. If it is at all possible for your situation, please purchase your own instrument.
This ensures there are instruments available for those facing financial burden.
Kids who own their own instrument are more likely to practice at home and excel as musicians early on.
You won't have to use the aging and sometimes finicky school instruments.

Every single child that wants music in their lives should have that opportunity. If your child wants to be in band, but you are concerned about covering the required fees, please reach out to Mrs. Franksain to work out a payment plan or other accommodation.
