UAB Beacon Recovery is an outpatient substance use disorder treatment program for adults and adolescents. Our treatment programs are certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, and we serve patients who are uninsured or have Medicaid coverage. Many patients are referred to us by various legal and medical entities, but a professional referral is not necessary, and about 50% of the people we help are self-referred.
