About Me and the courses I will be teaching this year:

Welcome to Astronomy and Physics! We will be together 180 days this year at Lakeside so I wanted to share a few things about who I am! I was born and raised in a small, rural town in North Carolina (Trinity, NC). I had the privilege of spending all 4 years and graduating with a B.S. degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!! Go Tarheels!! Yes, I love UNC basketball, football, and everything else in between! I enjoy stargazing and admiring our beautiful Universe! I have a small obsession with frogs!! I love spending time with my amazing family and friends!

I LOVE science and I LOVE Lakeside!! I want my students to gain a deeper understanding of Astronomy & Physics and to relate what we learn in class to their everyday lives. My desire is for you to look forward to coming to my class each day where you feel comfortable, challenged, and cared for! Make sure you always ask questions if you don't understand something!! I want you to leave my class prepared for the next chapter that awaits for you. I encourage you to get involved in sports/activities at LHS to appreciate the "awesomeness" of being a Panther!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you throughout this year!
