Astronomy is a course encompassing the history of Astronomy, celestial navigation, the mechanics and attributes of our solar system, stellar formation, solar system formation, galaxy formation, and the formation of the universe. We will use Google Classroom as a platform to keep with daily and upcoming assignments. The course syllabus will provide more details. Please note that information on the syllabus is subject to change at the teacher’s discretion. During this course, we will explore how science is a part of our everyday lives. This class is designed with a hands-on approach to study topics. We will work a lot in pairs and small groups while following all safety protocols. Therefore, it is crucial that students come prepared to learn and participate each day. I ask for each student to bring his/her “best” to my class each day and in return, I promise to be the best teacher that I can possibly be for you!! If you ever have any questions or concerns, never hesitate to ask in class, or come before/after school. Email is another great way to communicate concerns, as well. One of our goals is to motivate students in science and technology career paths.
