Please reach out to your teacher (email, in class, on Remind) if you would like to get some extra help outside of class hours. Also if your Spanish teacher is not available at the time you want, you can see the other Spanish teacher who can also help you.
Quizlet is a flashcard app and website. Go to this link to join the Quizlet classroom where we select "teacher approved" sets.
1) Use the magnifying glass to search for flashcard sets that are already made (BEWARE: you will have to make some edits so you don't learn things we haven't discussed or don't forget topics we did talk about). You can search for material from our textbook by including our textbook name "Avancemos" and the unit we are covering (for example our first section covered was "Preliminar").
2) You can also create your own set from scratch. Quizlet has the abilities to input ACCENTS and other Spanish punctuation marks. When creating your own set or editing a set Quizlet will provide you with suggestions for your term and definition (be careful!) When you create your own set or edit a set and make it your own you can add images to the definitions for free.
3) Once you've created your own set you have several ways you can study your terms. It's best to start with the "Learn" activity, you'll be presented with the terms in small chunks and once you've learned a term it will be removed from the stack. You can change the settings for learn to include multiple-choice prompts, flashcards, or written responses (your spelling/accents will count). You can also change whether or not you answer in Spanish or English (it's good to include both to really test your knowledge). You can also change a setting so you can hear the pronunciation in English and in Spanish. The "Flashcard" activity is your basic flashcard practice. The "Write" activity will focus on how well you can spell the term and the definition. The "Test" activity will generate a test on all the terms.
