PRESENT PERFECT : WHAT DOES THIS TENSE MEAN? It is used to :

• express actions that have happened recently and still hold true in the present.
• the helping verb HABER (to have)has to be used : he /has/ha/hemos/han
• A past participle must be used : verbs will end in -ado and -ido
• There are many irregular past participles: escrito / puesto/ roto/ido/sido/vuelto/devuelto/hecho/muerto

PRESENT PROGRESSIVE :

• to express an act that is occuring at the momnet
• the verb estar is to be used : estoy/estás/está, estamos, están
• the sencond verb that follows will end in - iendo or ando or yendo.
