March is Music in our Schools Month! While some grade levels are prepping for upcoming performances, others will be exploring the music of Ireland, sound stories, reading music, and recorders!
Kindergarten: Preparing for our Square Dancing performance. Students are learning 5 popular square dances and learning about American folk music and instruments.
1st Grade: Students are continuing to prepare for our upcoming parent performance, "Awesome Animals"
2nd Grade: Having just finished a fabulous performance in February, 2nd grade will continue reviewing music notation, music vocabulary, integrated into Irish music and folk dancing.
3rd Grade: Continuing learning the recorder through our Recorder Monster curriculum. Students are learning to read music on the Treble Clef while playing their instrument.
4th Grade: Exploring the music of Ireland, sound stories, and ukuleles.
5th grade: Students are going to begin learning their ensemble piece for Honor Day.
