About Me 

    Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am excited to start the 25-26 school year. While this is my 18th year teaching at River Ridge Elementary School, it is my 8th year teaching second grade.  Prior to teaching second grade, I taught 4th grade for 10 years. I feel honored to continue working at a fabulous school with wonderful students, staff, and supportive parents.

    I earned a Bachelor of Science from Augusta State University in Early Childhood Education, and Master of Education in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction. I also attain an ESOL Endorsement.

I have two adult loving  daughters, Paris and Amber Marie,  and one outgoing, quick-witted,  intelligent, fun-loving, and energetic 5 yr. old grandson.

 During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, watching sports, swimming with my teammates, teaching swim lessons, and reading a good book-preferably on the beach. 

Teaching is my passion, and seeing  my students' academic growth from the beginning of the year to the end is incredibly rewarding. I eagerly anticipate witnessing their progress and development throughout the year. I also look forward to a terrific school year,  filled with joy of learning and inspiring your child's curiosities of the world.  Here's to a year of growth and success!
