Organizational Binder
Your student will bring home an organizational binder each day. Please check it daily for important notes from school. You can also use this binder to send notes and money to school. Please ensure that any money you send in, is enclosed in an envelope that is labeled with your child’s name, purpose, and the amount.

Transportation

Your child’s teacher will need to know how your child will be getting home from school each day. Please inform your child’s teacher of ANY changes in transportation, in writing, by 12:00 p.m. daily. Also, please be mindful that students may not be checked out after 3:00 p.m. Thank you for your understanding!
After School Care
After School Care
If you are interested in before or after care, please sign your child up for our Camp Eagle’s nest program. Morning care begins at 6:45 a.m. each morning and after care ends at 6:00 p.m. each evening. There is a one time registration fee of $25.00. The cost per week is $20.00 for morning care and $45.00 for aftercare.
Car Riders
Car Riders
Car Riders will be picked up in the front of MES. All cars should enter from the Flowing Wells entrance by the electronic sign. Forming a double line, cars will proceed to the front of the building. When cars are stopped, MES staff and safety patrol will help to load students safely into the cars. When directed, cars will then proceed forward to leave the school.

Walkers
Walkers
Springlakes Walkers: These students will be escorted by school personnel to meet parents by the far side of the playground at the Springlakes’ gate.
Flowing Wells Walkers: These students will be escorted by school personnel. Now, parents will have to walk across Flowing Wells Road and meet their children on the Martinez Elementary School side.

Bus Riders
Bus Riders
Please do not bring any technology on the bus. Students under 9 years old must have a responsible adult visible to the bus driver. Kindergarten students must have an adult at the bus stop unless there is a sibling(s) to walk the kindergarten student to a visible adult. Students will be returned to school and placed in Camp Eagle’s Nest Aftercare ($10.00 charge per student) if these rules are not followed. Send a change of clothes in a bag labeled with your child’s first and last name.
