All About Mrs. Story

Hey guys! I am Mrs. Story! This will be my 18th year teaching, and my 7th year in 4th grade. This year I get to teach reading, writing, & social studies. :) I am so excited to help your child foster a love of learning. I have grown to love teaching reading and I hope my love of it also grows in your children as I teach them these other subjects. :) I love what I do and I hope that your child leaves 4th grade loving learning. 

I am a momma of 3 kiddos, Connor 15, Kentleigh 11, and Garrison 7. I have been married to my most favorite fella in the world, Mark, for 17, almost 18 years. I am a born & grown Harlem girl. I spent my entire childhood in Harlem schools.  I have my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Augusta State University. After that, I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction and then my Specialist Degree in Teaching & Learning with 3 endorsements (ESOL, Reading, & Gifted). I love all things coloful and things with lots of patterns, including cheetah and glitter! Big earrings and clothes are an obsession of mine and I love to shop, especially at a good thrift store. :) My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family and go on vacations. We love to camp together, go hiking, be outside, & make memories by going new places and just being together.

Your children will forever be mine, as my first year school babies are now 26-27 and pursuing their own careers & lives. I hope that your child comes to school, every day, loving what we do and wanting to be part of our classroom. :) I can't wait to get to know each of your families and become part of the ECE family.
