Genetics

You will find general information posted on this webpage. Most class resources will be shared through Google Classroom. I post assignments, announcements, slides, documents, and other needed items there. Be sure to join both Remind and Google Classroom. This will be my first year teaching Genetics as an elective but Heredity, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology have always been three of my favorite topics to teach. I am looking forward to a fun year with lots of labs, applications and storylines!!!

Supplies Needed: Composition notebook (no wire binding); 3-ring Binder, Dividers to Organize Notebook, Notebook Paper, Graph Paper, Colored Pencils, Highlighters, Note Cards, Pens and Pencils, Simple Scientific Calculator.

Unit 7: Genetics Applications (i.e. Medicine, Public Health, Agriculture, Forensics, Conservation Genetics, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, etc.)
Unit 8: Bioethics
Unit 9: Evolutionary Genetics (if time permits)

Please keep in mind that the dates on the calendar are tentative. The best way to stay up-to-date is to read the agendas posted in Google Classroom. They are hyperlinked to many of the activities and labs we complete as well as to the notes for that unit.

The agendas are a great way to stay informed and on schedule!
