In Ceramics 1, students will learn about the variety of hand building ceramics techniques, historic and contemporary ceramic artists and glazing techniques. They will make both sculptural and functional art pieces.
In Ceramics 2, students will further their depth of knowledge of a variety of hand building ceramics techniques, historic and contemporary ceramic artists and glazing techniques. Ceramics 2 students will also cover using a wheel. They will make both sculptural and functional art pieces. Students will participate in school and local exhibits.
In Ceramics 3, students will further their depth of knowledge of a variety of hand building ceramics techniques, wheel throwing, historic and contemporary ceramic artists and glazing techniques. Ceramics 3 students will also cover a variety of firing techniques. They will make both sculptural and functional art pieces. Students will participate in school and local exhibits.
In Ceramics 4, students will further their depth of knowledge of a variety of hand building ceramics techniques, wheel throwing, historic and contemporary ceramic artists and glazing techniques. Ceramics 4 students will also cover a variety of firing techniques. They will make both sculptural and functional art pieces. Students will participate in school, local and regional exhibits.
