The 55 Multiple Choice Questions will be taken with a time duration of 55 minutes (40% of overall exam).
Following the multiple-choice section will be 3 short-answer questions that students have 40 minutes to answer. Short-answer questions count for 20% of the overall average. The third question is picked by the student based upon period choice.
Additionally, there is 1 document-based question (DBQ counts as 25%) and 1 long essay question (LEQ counts as 15%) that account for the remaining 40% of the overall average. Students have 60 minutes (15 minutes of reading docs) for the DBQ and 40 minutes for the LEQ.
For the LEQ, students get to pick from three options. Option 1 (1491-1800), Option 2 (1800-1898), Option 3 (1890-2001).

College Credit: Each college/university decides which AP Examination grades it will accept for credit. Almost all colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and Europe, take part in the AP program, most institutions accept grades of “3” and above for exemption. This exam will NOT count toward your overall grade at Grovetown High School. Successful passing of this exam will exempt the student from taking a world history class in college (subject to university).
