Knowing when and why you need information, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical manner.
In addition to reading, online safety and hands on activities, students receive several information literacy lessons in the learning commons each year. It all begins with library orientation; ensuring that students are familiar with how to look up books, where to find them, how to check them out properly. Students must also understand that PRIDE behavior is expected during all learning commons lessons and activities.
