About Me

I have been a educator for over twenty-six years working with teenagers for most of that time. I have worked with students with a variety of medical and educational disability labels. I have also co-taught or taught Science for at least 10 of those years.  I have a Doctorate in Curriculum Studies with a research focus on critical disability studies.

I also teach graduate studies courses in the College of Education at Augusta University.

I have two children. My son is a junior at Georgia Southern and my daughter is a sophomore at Georgia Southern. They both marched in the Southern Pride Marching band last year. Both are education majors, one early ed and one secondary ed history.

Mr. Hotchkiss works as a journalist at The Augusta Chronicle.
