Welcome to another year at GTHS,

I will regularly challenge each student to go beyond their comfort zone and embrace the reality that learning is, and should be an uncomfortable struggle-filled process that involves failure, growth, hard work, and change. Learning should be a challenge! Please understand that learning requires failure and learning from mistakes to grow as a student and a human. I expect students to come to class each day, and while they are here, they are ready to learn and grow as students, and as individuals who are part of a larger learning community. 

Please note: reading is required to pass any of my classes. Early is on time. Technology is a tool, not your friend. Templates, examples, and samples are your friends. Working together makes friends. Failure is not an option. So, plan to be successful!

Parents, guardians, and students, please sign up for Google Classroom and Remind class text messages. I will regularly post information and updates in Google Classroom. Additionally, if I am texting in the evening, a grade or school info affects the student. 

The fastest way to reach me is to email me at christy.donovan@ccboe.net I am available from 7:15am to 3:15pm Monday through Friday. Please allow time for an adequate response to your questions, since I have many students and classes, and I will respond as quickly as I am able.
