The Blazing Bobcats Run Club is an 8-week running program that occurs during the Fall and Spring seasons of each school year, and prepares 2nd-5th grade students to run in a 5K race event, encourages the development of leadership skills, and teaches students how to work with a team. 

General Club Information

Club fees are $55 per child and cover the cost of their club t-shirt, race registration fee, race medals, and additional club materials. Information on how to pay fees will be sent home and posted following the tryouts. All fees are non-refundable. 

Practices will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:00 pm-5:10 pm starting on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, and ending on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Our race date will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024. More information will be provided as the race date approaches.

Parents, please make sure transportation arrangements are made before practice. If there is an emergency, please contact your coaches using the Remind app. 

Appropriate Attire

Students are required to wear athletic clothes and running shoes to ALL practices. Any student wearing inappropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate during practice and will need to await parent pick-up in the front lobby. 

*Students wearing jeans, sandals, sports sandals, boots, basketball shoes, Vans, etc. will be asked to sit out of practice and will need to await parent pickup.*

Season Dismissal/Transportation

Students are to be picked at 5:10 pm in the BRE carline after each practice. Students that are frequently picked up late will be sent to BRE’s after-school program and parents will be responsible for paying a drop-in fee of $35 for the first incident and $15 for each incident after. 

Coaches must be notified of any transportation changes. Students will not be permitted to go home with others without written consent from a parent. Additionally, please inform the coaches if your student is a walker or needs to attend aftercare following practice. We will not permit students to leave campus without this information.
