Make Up Policy 

Absenteeism negatively impacts academic performance. Please minimize absences to the best of your ability. 

If you are absent on the day of an assessment, you will be expected to take the assessment the day you return. Be prepared! 

If you are absent on review day, you are still expected to take the assessment. Be prepared. 

If you were absent

1. Check Google Classroom for what you missed and missing work. Handouts are attached to assignments on Google Classroom. Hard copies are available in the handout bin on the student shelf in our classroom. 

2. Get notes from a friend and/or my Google Classroom. I suggest you do both because classmates can provide information on emerging class discussions or questions. Of course, after you do check Google Classroom and meet with a classmate, please see me for any remaining questions. 

3. Work must be done within 5 school days of your absence and you will only get credit for the work if your absence is excused.

Reassessment Policy 

Students have five school days to remediate and reassess on summative assessments for full credit.

The reassessment will not be the same test and may not be the same format. 

To remediate, students will complete online instruction through the Edmentum. Edemntum is accessed through Class Link. Credit will not be given for completing the Edmentum instruction because this is part of remediation. 

Upon request, prior test corrections may be used as a supplement to remediate. Credit will not be given for test corrections. 

If a student scores lower on the reassessment, the higher score will remain. A score of 90 is the maximum score for a reassessment.

Students have one opportunity to reassess on assessments. They may not reassess on formative assignments. 

All reassessments must be completed within five school days that the test was administered in class. Excused absences do not count towards the 5 day count.
