The Junior Beta Club is the middle school division of National Beta, the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth honor society in the United States. Catering primarily to students in grades 6 through 8, the club recognizes outstanding academic achievement while actively preparing young people for secondary education and future citizenship.
The organization centers entirely around four foundational pillars:
Achievement: Recognizing and honoring high academic standards and intellectual curiosity.
Character: Preparing students for life by promoting moral integrity, social responsibility, and strong values.
Leadership: Developing the leaders of tomorrow by giving students a seat at the table to plan, collaborate, and guide others.
Service: Fulfilling the official club motto: "Let Us Lead by Serving Others" through impactful community volunteer work.
2026/27 Beta Meeting dates:
****** All meeting will be held on the FIRST Tuesday of every month except for January 2027, which will occur on the 12th. Any meeting changes will be announced at school and posted on this site page. All meetings will last until 3:30 unless otherwise noted ahead of time and will meet in Mrs. Haygood or Mrs. Garcia's classroom. Please be certain to have student transportation arrive promptly after the meeting has been dismissed. Students will be dismissed in the front of the school building.
Beta Service Hours
Beta members are required to complete at least 12 service hours per a semester (August to Dec, and January to May). These service hours are to be logged on a provided Beta Service Hours sheet and turned in directly to Mrs. Haygood or Mrs. Garcia by the end of each semester to remain in good standing.
