Hello! I grew up in the Los Angeles area in Southern California, but have resided here in the beautiful south for over 25 years. I love spending time with my dog Max and my two wonderful, grown sons, as well as gardening, painting, crafting, and teaching. My favorite season is baseball season -especially when the Los Angeles Dodgers play! I do enjoy watching the Braves and the GreenJackets play, too!
I am so excited to be teaching at Westmont Elementary! This will be my thirteenth year teaching and ninth year teaching fourth grade. Before answering my calling to teach, I worked in the aerospace industry, as a charter flight attendant, for a film-editing company, and I have raised two wonderful young men who are both graduates of Evans High School. I graduated from Augusta University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, and I have earned a gifted endorsement. I regularly teach at the Augusta University Kid's Camp during summer break catering to Pre-K through 8th grade.
I believe success is achieved through teamwork and a good parent-teacher partnership! I welcome communication to discuss any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year. By infusing learning with fun while promoting a growth-mindset, I hope to instill in my students curiosity, confidence, and a fearless attitude toward math. Get ready for a GRAND SLAM year fourth graders!
