TEACHER INTERNS PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
As we gather here today, we thank you for the gift of learning and the opportunity to grow each day. Bless us with wisdom and understanding as we study and learn. Help us to be kind and compassionate to one another, and guide us in making good choices. Give us the strength to persevere through challenges and the courage to always do what is right. May we use our talents and abilities to make a positive difference in the world around us. Amen."
ABOUT ME
“ Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”- Anthony J. D’Angelo.
I am Merry Grace S. Matos, a student of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture Calabanga Campus. Taking Bachelor of Secondary EducationEduaction major in English. I am 23 years old. I live in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Zone 2 Gawad Kalinga Village. I choose to be a teacher because I want to make a difference. I could have chosen a different field where I could serve the society but I think that education is the right field where I could fully realized this goal. I believe that education is the most important asset any one will have, and one asset which has the greatest impact on the person and to everyone around them.
Within two months and half month, I never knew how mature I could be in terms of understanding people. There are moments which can really test your patience, but you cannot satisfy your anger with physical punishments (though I really didn’t plan to). Hence, you will look through the misbehavior of students and create more acceptable consequence.
ABOUT MY OWN TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Every student has the potential to succeed, and it is my role as a teacher to unlock that potential and help students reach their goal. This philosophy centers on the belief that every student possesses unique abilities and potential for success. As a teacher, the role is to identify and nurture these capabilities, providing the support and guidance necessary for students to achieve their goals. This approach recognizes that success is not solely defined by academic achievements but encompasses personal growth and development as well. By fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, teachers can empower students to realize their full potential and become confident, self-directed learners.
To implement this philosophy, teachers must adopt a student-centered approach that focuses on individual strengths and learning styles. This involves getting to know each student personally, understanding their background, interests, and aspirations. By building strong relationships with students, teachers can create a sense of trust and respect, fostering a supportive environment where students feel empowered to take risks and explore new ideas. This approach also involves setting high expectations for students, challenging them to push beyond their comfort zones and reach for new heights of achievement.
Ultimately, this philosophy is about instilling a growth mindset in students, teaching them to embrace challenges and view failures as opportunities for learning and growth. By fostering a sense of resilience and perseverance, teachers can help students develop the skills and mindset needed to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. This philosophy also emphasizes the importance of fostering a sense of community and collaboration in the classroom, where students support and encourage each other on their journey to success

HAVE FUN- enjoy learning and make the most of every opportunity to grow and discover new things.
My first encounter with my actual class was both exciting and nerve-wracking. As I stepped into the classroom, I was welcomed by a group of enthusiastic and inquisitive pupils, each possessing distinct personalities and histories. I was excited to embark on this adventure with them because I could feel their enthusiasm and potential in the room. I started by saying hello and outlining our house rules in order to set the tone for our classroom and told to them to write a expectation about the subject and to me. These guidelines, which were created in consultation with the students, were centered on cooperation, accountability, and respect. I underlined how crucial it is to have a secure, welcoming environment where everyone feels heard and respected. I also went over our classroom management procedures, which include using a behavior chart and a reward system to promote good behavior. I saw how the pupils behaved all day long.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit
by Beatrix Potter
Four little rabbits named Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter live with their mother under the root of a big fir tree. One morning as she is leaving to go shopping, Mrs. Rabbit warns her children not to go into Mr. McGregor's garden. She tells them that their father was caught there and put into a pie. Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail go down the lane to gather blackberries. But Peter disobeys his mother's orders and goes straight to Mr. McGregor's garden. He squeezes himself under the gate and feasts on Mr. McGregor's vegetables. He gets a stomach ache from eating too much. As he is looking for some parsley to settle his stomach, he runs into Mr. McGregor. Mr. McGregor yells out "Stop thief!" and starts chasing Peter. Peter is terribly frightened and cannot remember which way the gate is. He runs all around the garden, losing his shoes in the process. Then the buttons on his jacket get caught on the gooseberry net. He only just manages to wriggle out of the jacket and get away before Mr. McGregor can trap him. Peter runs into the tool shed and hides in the watering can. Unfortunately, the can is filled with water. Peter sneezes; Mr. McGregor hears the sneeze and goes after Peter. Peter jumps out of a window which is too small for Mr. McGregor to go through. Mr. McGregor decides to give up and go back to work. Peter is lost, frightened, tired, and wet. He asks a mouse for directions, but she cannot talk because she is carrying a large pea in her mouth. Peter begins to cry. He wanders around and comes to a pond. There is a white cat sitting very still and watching some goldfish. Peter decides not to disturb her because he has heard about cats from his cousin Benjamin. He goes back to the tool shed. He hears the noise of a hoe and climbs on top of a wheelbarrow to take a peek. He sees Mr. McGregor hoeing onions. Then he sees the gate on the other side of the garden past Mr. McGregor. Peter runs as fast as he can and, before Mr. McGregor can catch up with him, slips under the gate. Mr. McGregor uses Peter's jacket and shoes to dress a scarecrow. Peter keeps running all the way to his house and flops down exhausted. His mother wonders what happened to his clothes. Peter does not feel well at all that evening. Mrs. Rabbit puts him to bed and gives him a dose of chamomile tea. His sisters, however, have a really nice supper of bread, milk, and blackberries.

b.Reflections/Impressions/Insights (weekly)
March 1, 2024 is the day we deploy in Don Servillano Platon Memorial National High School, Tinambac. We met the teacher that we will be assigned to us to be our cooperating teacher. We introduced ourselves. The assistant principal who Mr. Allan Monforte discussed to us the rules and the requirements that we are going pass before the end of the internship. My cooperating teacher is one of favorite teacher when I was in high school who is Ms. Catherine Maristaza. During that day the school has a Ms.and Mr. Foundation we help for preparing the event, we arranged the chairs and also designed the stage. In the first day of my internship was a blend of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. Stepping into the professional world felt like a significant milestone in my academic journey.
The first week of as a pre- service teacher my cooperating teacher introduced to me the five sections that I am going to handle but first she told the what is the situation of each sections which are who is the noisy and silent section. Then after she gave tha topics that I am going to teach in the five sections. When I am introducing myself I was so nervous but it was good because the students are behave when I'm talking in front. The day of my discussion about the topic Bias. Before I start my discussion, I discussed first my classroom rules and sitting arrangements inside of the classroom. I felt so nervous because the students was really serious when I talked in front of them. When it comes in my motivational activity the student's was participated well and they are doing good. This week experience was a valuable learning opportunity. It reinforced my passion for teaching and deepened my appreciation for the hard work required to be an effective educator. I look forward to applying the lessons learned from this day in my future practice. As a pre-service teacher was a mix of excitement, challenges, and valuable learning experiences. It was a day that tested my abilities and pushed me to grow in unexpected ways. One of the highlights of the day was getting the opportunity to lead a small group activity for the first time. I was nervous at first, unsure if I would be able to engage the students effectively. However, as I began interacting with them and guiding them through the activity, I found my confidence growing. It was incredibly rewarding to see the students actively participating and enjoying the learning process.
The second week, as I entered the classroom, I made conscious effort to greet each student warmly and engage in casual conversations before the lesson began. This simple gesture helped create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, making it easier for students to participate and engage in the day’s activities. Another important thing that happened today was realization of the importance of clear and concise instructions. During the activities, I noticed that some students were struggling to understand the task at hand. Instead of criticize them, I took a moment to rephrase the instructions in a simpler way, ensuring that everyone understood what was expected of them. This week taught me the importance of being flexible and adaptable in my teaching approach, especially when dealing with diverse groups of students. March 15, 2024, this day is catch up Friday for them no lesson. The activity that I gave to them is Spelling Bee they are gong to spell the words that I gave to each of students. Once they got the correct answer he or she will be given a chips which is equivalent to plus five in their written works. All of the students was participated well and I’m so happy because they are excited during Friday because of the activity “Spelling Bee”.
Third week of my internship is the most challenging that happened to me because I forgot my instructional materials. Instead of panicking, I quickly improvised and adapted the lesson to a more interactive and hands-on activity. And this week is I need to craft a test paper to my students for the upcoming exam that my cooperating teacher will be checked before she will pass her lived. This experience taught me the importance of being prepared for unexpected challenges and the need to be flexible in my teaching approach. March twenty one and twenty two I recently had the opportunity to conduct a pre-exam discussion with my students before they took their exam for their upcoming exam will be conducted on March 25 to 26. This experience has highlighted the importance of such discussions in enhancing student preparation, understanding, and overall performance. One of the key benefits of conducting a pre-exam discussion was that it helped clarify any misunderstandings or confusion students had about the exam format, content, and expectations. By addressing their questions and concerns, I was able to ensure that students felt more confident and prepared going into the exam. Furthermore, the pre-exam discussion provided an opportunity to review key concepts and material covered in class. I used this time to reinforce important information, highlight key topics, and provide students with additional tips and strategies for studying. This review session helped refresh students' memories and gave them a better understanding of what to focus on during the exam. At the end of the third week of my internship. I took some time to reflect on my teaching practice, identifying areas where I excelled and areas where I could improve.
March 25 and 26 2024 are the day of the examinations of my students. My cooperating teacher was not around so I’m the one to assisted them. My students are schedule at morning we started at 7:30am until 12:45pm. The challenges that I experience during the exams is managing the logistics of the assessment process. This includes setting up the exam environment, distributing and collecting exam materials, and ensuring that students adhere to the exam rules and guidelines. Seeing students struggle or perform poorly on exams can be disheartening, especially when educators have invested time and effort in their teaching. On the other hand, managing students who might try to cheat or behave dishonestly during exams can be frustrating and compromise the integrity of the assessment process. My experience of assessing students during exams can also be a source of motivation and encouragement for both students and educators. For students, receiving feedback on their performance can be a motivating factor to continue learning and improving. For educators, seeing students demonstrate their commitment to fostering student success.

The first of week of May I prepared my materials and Lesson Plan for the upcoming Final Demonstration Teaching. Preparing for my final demonstration teaching is a culmination of my teaching journey, where you have the opportunity to showcase your skills, knowledge, and passion for teaching. To prepare effectively, start by thoroughly understanding the objectives and requirements of the demonstration. Review the curriculum standards and guidelines provided by your institution to ensure that your lessons are aligned with the expected outcomes. Practice is key to success in your final demonstration teaching. I rehearse my lessons multiple times, paying attention to my delivery, timing, and interactions with students. Consider recording yourself or conducting mock demonstrations with peers to receive feedback and make improvements. I Create a timeline with specific milestones for planning, practice, and revision. Keep all my materials organized and easily accessible, including lesson plans, handouts, and visual aids. Maintain a positive attitude and stay flexible, as teaching can be unpredictable. I Seek support from my cooperating teacher who always there for me and support me in this journey.
May 10, 2024, this is the day of our Final Demonstration Teaching, I felt so nervous during this day. My cooperating teacher guide me through this I am so thankful to her because she never make me disappointing me when it comes in supporting.
