Welcome!

Hello, my name is Jason Hixson and this will be my 12th year teaching. I have taught reading and history for eight years. I am certified by the state of Virginia to teach PreK-12 Health and Physical Education. First, I received my Associate degree from Rappahannock Community College. Then I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education PreK-6 from Old Dominion University. Also, I received my Master of Elementary Education from Liberty University. My wife and I have been blessed with a son who loves to be active. Lastly, I'm a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan! Go Birds!

Philosophy of Education- I believe it is my responsibility to help all my students better understand and apply healthy life choices to improve their overall health. For example, students will understand how to choose and implement safe and effective exercises, healthy diet choices, and how best to handle stressful situations and events.
