Middle School Apps

Students in the middle school (grades 5th-7th) are required to bring an iPad to school.  This iPad is purchased and owned by the parent.

Elementary school students do not bring their family iPads to school.  Each class has a set of iPads that is shared in class.

Below is a list of apps that most, if not all middle school teachers, will be using for the school year.  If you are viewing this page on the iPad you will be using, just click on the name of the app and it will open the App Store.  Your parents will need to use their Apple ID and their password to download the apps.

Students should NEVER know their parents' passwords, but parents should ALWAYS know their children's passwords!!!

CBS encourages students to have all school-related apps and shortcuts on the Home screen of the iPad. Games and other personal apps and shortcuts should be on subsequent pages.

If you had a student who previously attended CBS, sign-in to your new student's iPad with the same Apple ID as you used for your older student and you can download all the apps you purchased before for free!

All iPads MUST be updated to AT LEAST iOS 16 or later!!

We are a Google for Education school, which means we use Google Apps in an educational setting.  Students are issued an email address through Christian Brothers School.  This grants students access to the entire suite of Google products, while safely sandboxed in the educational venue.  These apps will give students chance to take advantage of the main Google products.
