Green Umbrella

PAVING THE WAY TO A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

AT WRHS

Who WE ARE

The Green Umbrella Club is a group of like-minded students and faculty members dedicated to instilling a mindset of environmental consciousness through various acts of awareness and service, both in our schools and our community.

WHAT WE DO

This is a student driven club, so YOU come up with the ideas/projects then implement them in our schools and community. We’ve worked on some amazing things already, but there is so much more to be done. Some of the projects we’ve completed include

  • WRHS school wide paper and plastic recycling and composting

  • Visits to every school in CBRSD to raise environmental awareness

  • Organized a Green Fair with local businesses at WRHS

  • Met with several guest speakers and local professionals to explore options to “green” WRHS

  • Incorporated an environmental theme and curriculum through many different classes at WRHS

  • Implemented an “Earth Week” theme at WRHS the week before Earth Day to raise environmental awareness
