Sustainable Wahconah

Blue in our Hearts, Green in our Thumbs

Meet our 2022-2023  Green Umbrella Officers

President:

Elliot Fletcher

I grew up an activist. Protesting and fighting for what I know is right. This club means a lot to not only the community but everyone involved and I am honored to represent it. I work hard to live life sustainably and intend to share how. I'm also incredibly professional.

President:

Aidan Garcia

Growing up camping, hiking, summiting, kayaking, and exploring my environment made me fall in love with where we live! I hope that this nature that so many people enjoy is around for generations. I hope that we can do our best to support it as best we can! Green Umbrella is the perfect opportunity to make an impact in our community!

Secretary:

Liam Furlong

The environment has been an important issue to me for many years, but I struggled to find ways to do something. The Green Umbrella Club has allowed me to help out in my own bioregion and make a real world impact on places near me.  Everyone in our generation must strive for sustainability and push to protect the enviorment, and Green Umbrella helps you do that.

Vice-President:

Emily Perrone
Taking care of our environment whether we notice or not, has such a huge impact on our livelihoods. Nature gives us something to look forward to whether it’s Ski Races, Hikes, Swimming in our beautiful ocean, or carving pumpkins in the Berkshire’s beautiful fall weather. Now, more than ever, we need to stay alert, and stay on top of continuing to protect our natural environment. Although we are young, we can “speak for the trees”-Lorax.

Class of 2024

Vice-President:

Elizabeth Wheeler

Growing up, my favorite way to spend my time was to go hiking and swimming outside. Quickly, the environment became one of my passions and my favorite subjects were biology and environmental science. Green umbrella has been my favorite club to participate in for the past three years. I look forward to a great year of helping the environment. :)

Treasurer:

Lilliana Penn-Ward

Being a part of the green umbrella club is something that I am proud of because it allows me to help educate others and spread awareness for our beautiful environment. Ever since I was little, I have always loved our environment and want to do my part to ensure future generations can find the same joy in it. Together we can work together and make Wahconah as environmentally conscious as possible.
