Class overview
In our science class, our goal is to navigate our world through a scientific lense. We are surrounded with science every day in our lives. It's up to us to develop skills for problem solving and critical thinking as we learn and grow together.
In addition to meeting state standards, we try to enrich our science experiences with hands on learning, projects, math, and art when possible!
About me
Growing up in Berkshire County, I'm so happy to be working and living here as an adult. I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education. I also completed a degree in Educational Psychology: Gifted and Talented Curriculum at the University of Connecticut. I started teaching in 2009 and haven't looked back.
As you can see by my profile picture, I love winter. My husband and I coached Nordic Skiing at Wahconah Regional High School for over 10 years. Although I've taken a break from coaching to be home more with my littles, skiing is one of my absolute favorite things!
The most important thing in my life is family. I am a proud mom of 4 wonderful kids who keep me very busy. It's always an adventure to travel, explore, and hike our way through the community as a family of six.
I love learning, laughing, and creating. I hope to share my passion and enthusiasm with all of my students! Feel free to contact me at any time.
