Tim is a physical therapist and owner of Crested Butte Physiotherapy. He has 20 years experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Texas A&M University. He continued his education at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston where he received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Masters in Physical Therapy. He started his career in Houston, TX working with all levels of athletes from weekend warriors to professionals. But the call of the mountains brought him to Colorado in 1998 and to Crested Butte in 2003. Tim takes a global approach to evaluating and treating his clients, using manual therapy, functional evaluation, and training to optimize their return to function. Tim is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and The Graston Technique. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing and spending time with his wife Amelia and their three children: Ryder, Madison, and Isabelle.
Michael earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2019, where he also competed at the state, regional, and national levels with the LSU Men’s Soccer Club. He went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas, in 2023. He is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. Michael’s passion for physical therapy was sparked early on through hands-on experience. He spent most summers in Crested Butte where he coached tennis at the local town clinics and soccer with WESA Soccer Club, and gained valuable mentorship working under Tim Poppe as a Physical Therapy Technician. After completing his doctorate, Michael began working as a travel physical therapist across the U.S., gaining diverse clinical experience. Ultimately, his love for the mountains and the active lifestyle drew him back to Colorado. Michael takes an anatomical and biomechanical approach to treatment, combining cutting-edge dynamometry and a comprehensive array of functional testing to guide clients back to daily activities and sports performance. Outside the clinic, Michael enjoys staying active through soccer, tennis, beach volleyball, trail running, paddleboarding, hiking, and snowboarding.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Esther earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a pre-physical therapy emphasis from Whittier College in 2020. While at Whittier, she competed as a collegiate swimmer and placed in the top 10 in her conference—demonstrating the same dedication she now brings to her work as a clinician.
Esther went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas, graduating in April 2024. Following graduation, she began practicing as a travel physical therapist, gaining hands-on experience with a diverse range of patient populations across the United States.
She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and utilizes a comprehensive approach that combines manual therapy with therapeutic exercise to help her patients restore movement and reach their physical goals. Esther is passionate about supporting individuals of all ages and abilities, taking on the role of physical therapist, coach, and cheerleader throughout each patient’s journey.
Outside of the clinic, Esther enjoys an active lifestyle. You’ll often find her golfing, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, or paddleboarding with her dog, Knox.
