Tim Poppe PT, MPT
Tim is a physical therapist and owner of Crested Butte Physiotherapy. He has 20 years experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Texas A&M University. He continued his education at the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston where he received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Masters in Physical Therapy. He started his career in Houston, TX working with all levels of athletes from weekend warriors to professionals. But the call of the mountains brought him to Colorado in 1998 and to Crested Butte in 2003. Tim takes a global approach to evaluating and treating his clients, using manual therapy, functional evaluation, and training to optimize their return to function. Tim is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and The Graston Technique. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing and spending time with his wife Amelia and their three children: Ryder, Madison, and Isabelle.
Janelle Brown PT, DPT
Janelle moved to Crested Butte in 2014 and has been loving all the adventure the valley has to offer. She earned a BS in human biology from Biola University where she played every intramural sport under the sun, including dodge ball and powderpuff football. She worked as a tech in PT clinics on the front range including Physiotherapy Associates in the Panorama Orthopedics Center prior to obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Regis University. During her time at Regis, she completed two international service clinicals to Ethiopia and Peru and was part of a research team investigating the effects of backwards treadmill walking on folks who have Parkinson's Disease. Since moving to Crested Butte, her focus has shifted to outpatient orthopedic rehab and she has been certified as a level 2 dry needling and level 1 SFMA practitioner as well as served as clinical instructor for several students also earning their doctorate degrees. When not in the clinic, she can be found out trail running, split boarding, hiking, baking, and trying her hand at nordic skiing and hunting.
Sara Hogan PT, DPT
Sara recently moved to the valley from Nashville, TN where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Belmont University. Originally from Virginia, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Spanish from the University of Virginia. On top of her academic studies at UVA, she dedicated countless hours as a goalie on the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team. Her teams won three ACC championships and qualified for the NCAA tournament in each of her four seasons. Following graduation, she worked as an advisor to student-athletes navigating the college recruiting process and subsequently spent two years in consulting in Washington, DC prior to realizing her calling was to be a physical therapist.
During her PT training at Belmont University, she became well versed in orthopedics and stroke rehabilitation. Sara also completed a specialty rotation in vestibular rehabilitation, which aims to minimize a patient’s dizziness, vertigo or balance impairments and includes post-concussion rehabilitation. During her free time, Sara enjoys finding new trails outdoors and challenging herself with new sports. She also loves traveling, live music, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and German Shorthair Pointer pup, Gunnar.
Danielle Deschler PT, DPT, LMT, Stott pilates instructor
Danielle Deschler graduated in 2002 from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon with a Doctorate in physical therapy. She has worked throughout the United States in a variety of clinical settings. Though she specializes in orthopedics, she has a diverse skill set with extensive continuing education in manual therapy, yoga therapy, fitness, and Pilates. She also graduated from the Oregon School of Massage in Portland, Oregon in 1999. Outside the clinic, Danielle loves to get outdoors with her husband, four-year-old son, and yellow lab. She enjoys hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and paddle boarding.
