I am currently a Professor and Head of the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS), University of Allahabad. I received my PhD degree from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India where I got trained in neuropsychology and my doctoral work was in the field of developmental cognitive neuroscience. At CBCS I have been teaching various courses in the Masters' and PhD programs in Cognitive Science.
My current research interests include development of cognitive-affective control and social emotional competence, bilingualism, cognitive and emotional aging, neuroaesthetics, and cognitive disorders (dyslexia and ADHD) using converging methodologies, behavioural experimentation, EEG/ERP, fMRI, experience sampling and self-report measures.
