The requirements listed below are for members being inducted in the Fall Semester 2024 and beyond. In order to be in good standing with Beta Club, you must maintain the initial requirements as well. The categories fall under the National Beta mission statement categories of achievement, character, service, and leadership
This is the case for members inducted in the Fall Semester 2024 and beyond.
Academic

To become a member, a student is required to hold and maintain a 90.0% GPA (HOPE) in all core* and in at least two foreign language courses. Two foreign language courses must be completed prior to receiving an invitation to join.
The student must also have completed at least TWO challenge courses (honors, AP, or Dual Enrollment).
*Core classes are Social Studies, Math, English, & Science.

No ISS or OSS during high school
No behavioral office referrals during high school
Service
Service
For each year of membership, students are required to complete any combination of 7 service projects . These projects will be authorized by the Club Sponsors only. One of these seven projects must be an Active Project; however, the remaining six projects may be Inactive projects (members donate needed items for school/community).
*** The required active project may be completed outside of the school organization with prior approval. Students may also complete as many active projects as they wish to meet the project requirements.
A member of the National Beta Club may be put on probation or dropped from membership for the following reasons:
If he/she is absent without justifiable reason from 2 regular consecutive meetings. Accomodations will be made for members who are not on campus during the scheduled meeting time
If his/her academic record falls below a 90.0%
If he/she fails to attain at least 7 service projects during the school term without a justifiable reason
If his/her character and behavior record falls below no ISS or OSS and no behavioral office referrals
If and when a member is put on probation, they have the opportunity to be added back on the active school roster. If and when a member is dropped from membership, a record of this action shall be relayed to the National Office of National Beta Club and is no longer eligible for membership.
